Abstract: | The Triassic of the Central European basin represents a typical marine influenced terrigenous sequence. The Cretaceous succession of the Songliao basin is made up of marine related fluvial lacustrine deposits. Both basins share the following characteristics: 1)They are large scale cratonic sag basin successions, 2)The basins were connected with paleo-oceans, 3)The lithology of the basins consists of interlayed mudstone, siltstone, carbonates and gypsum/halite, 4)Typical marine fossils are rare, instead, brackish and/or high salinity fossils are abundant, 5)The‰D34S, ‰D18O, ‰D13C values of autogenetic minerals in the transgressive beds,Sr/Ba, (Ca+Mg)/(Si+Al), (Zn+Ni)/Ga values and index of sulfur deposit flux are distinctly higher than those in the adjacent layers. |
